I agree totally. She cracks me up to the point of tears, sometimes, with her wacky ideas. I wonder who does her hair? Sometimes there is so much hairspray in her hair is takes on a life of its own. BTW, way too much teasing goes on there too.
Sandra Lee definately loves her cocktails. I just wonder who really drinks a cocktail everyday, especially one with vodka. Her drinks seem pretty good, but geese, I can't imagine coming home from an 10 hour day at the office makeing cornbread in soup cans and then having a peachtini or whatever with vodka. I'd be flat on my butt a half an hour later.
Her table scapes are crazy to say the least. FIrst of all I have to comment on the change of kitchen scenery each episode too. Ever notice hhow she has like ten different colored mixers or blenders. I swear I've seen a blue one, red one, orange one, grey, pink, etc. You name it and she has at least 6 different colors of it. Now for her table scapes. Ok, I can appreciate that for a special occasion like Christmas or Thanksgiving, my table might look a little festive, but not for Mexican night or Chinese food night. I have never and will never go out and buy Chinese paper lanterns and individual chinese boxes nor will I buy flag cloth to turn into a patriotic table scape for the 4th of July. Unless I have tons of money, in which case I will hire a catering service, hah
To put it simple crazy and rediculously over the top, but then again it is Sandra Lee...

I absolutely love the FoodNetwork, at least some shows - Nigella and Giada and Ina. I thought Rachel Ray was cheesy and annoying, until I watched Sandra for the first time. Oh my God - the woman is insane!!! Her recipes are such rubbish, and the theme just doesn't make sense. The idea (supposedly) is to make entertaining easy, the food is almost always frozen or from a can, but then she comes up with these elaborate tablescapes, redecorating her house and kitchen for each show, not to mention her wardrobe and appliances have to match the food and tablescapes. It's almost as though she is attempting to do formal dining informally. Personally, I figure, if I'm going to spend time on entertaining, it's going to be on the food, not making sure that my napkins match my plates that match my candlesticks that match my cocktail. But that's just me.
Also, it cracks me up when she's cooking for her family, especially her nephew and his friends, who are like 14 years old, and she thinks they're going to "love this tablescape." Every 14 year old boy I know is really only going to be interested in the food, not the decorations.
It is very sad that she still has a show, I'm sure there are other more talented people out there who could do more for the network.

Her niche is using off-the-shelf canned foods to whip up something quick to entertain.
I think she has some pretty good ideas... and some of her stuff is pretty over the top.
What I find funny is that she's stacked and she's not shy about her presentation... especially when she was with Bobby Flay during the Christmas special.
Who I find really annoying is Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals.
She's trying to hard to be hip.
Everytime I hear "E. V. O. O. ", I just roll my eyes.
I bet she doesn't even come up with her own recipes.

People seem to bag on Rachael Ray for being cheesy, but I think Sandra takes the cake (no pun intended) for that one. She's always drunk and her food is lame. Anyone could smash up an apple pie and add some puff pastry and whipped cream. It boggles my mind how she got her own show. I know the food network is hurting for viewers, but come on...do we really need Sandra Lee?? She scares me.
Did you also notice how poorly edited her show is? One minute, the food is raw. She turns away for a second and it's totally cooked.

Until I received one of her cookbooks as a gift a few years ago, I had never heard of her. She's got some great ideas for this fast paced world we've created. She even included some recipes to make semi-homemade animal food/treats. Yes, I like her also!

Sandra Lee is ok, I have seen her take prepared foods and rebuild them with other ingredients.
I did like her shows after the holidays about what to do with leftovers. She made a great dish with leftover green bean casserole and portabello mushrooms that I tried. Yummy!

I find it funny that the point of her show is to make quick and easy meals - but then she has table settings that probably took hours upon hours to create. I'd rather have better food than a cheesy tablescape.

I think her show is kind of boring... but I have seen a couple and I was semi annoyed by her mexican night theme (being Mexican myself)
Her food does get really low ratings too! I checked it out.
Honestly I feel bad, I mean she seems nice enough, but she is pretty lame.

It always irritates me the way she compliments herself. She'll make comments like "isn't this clever" or "what a smart idea".
