Both can be dangerous plastic or metal dont know why they decided to "partially trust" their passengers with plastic and metal.

Because the politicians have yet to realise that a fork is sharp. By the way you can do quite a lot a damage with a plastic knife.

I agree, a fork would hurt. I really do not think the people have one bit of sense in the matter. I might add plastic knives can do some painful things too.

Really they gave me both plastic knives and forks. One of the reasons is concerned with a matter of security of course. In other words, it has been the aftermath of some strict measures to cope with those psychotic guys and terrorists.

have you tried eating Airline food with a plastic fork mind you the chicken leg I was given on an air France flight could have been used to club somebody to death and the potato,s with the help of a piece of knicker elastic or a sock would make an awesome weapon

Cause they don't have time to wash the metal forks. And its cheaper to buy plastic ones then to use water and soap to wash the metal forks. So if you want metal forks bring your own.

ummm...scary thought

i never thought a fork could be a weapon of destruction

infact a plastic knife could be equally destructive if sharpened to a point

ummmm...couldn't airlines just serve toothpickless sandwiches or cereal or something that couldn't be used as a weapon?

I really don't know. Im sure that someone could go on a rampage and papercut everyones throat using one of those airline magazines though anything can be a weapon.
