Will my hair get damaged if i highlight the tips only?

I'm 14 and I want to highlight the tips of my hair bright red, but my mom won't let me because she's afraid to damage my hair. Will it damage my hair or not?

ANY TIME YOU PUT A CHEMICAL ON YOUR HAIR THERE'S A RISK JUST KEEP CONDITIONED REAL GOOD.

tips are the most vunerable try some of that fun spray in wash out stuff its fun and you can get rid of it if you want!

it depends on if your hair is in good condition
