If it's not too late, go to the Sunset Strip. Lot's of cool live misic venues (Key Club, House of Blues, Viper Room), bars & clubs.
Take a spin on the mechanical bull at Saddle Ranch Chop House or how about people/wanna be VIP watching?

Drink some booze, and hang out with some locals at a local bar!
Go to Santa Monica, its the best place to meet new people!

Take a drive to Buena Park.The beach is not far and you might see something else to do.
