Operative word "real." & then, isn't "real" Christian subjective? Don't all Christians believe they are "real?" & WHO is to say they are not, in their own way? I've actually being doing some research on a couple of categories here. While EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR BELIEF, it is absurd to say: "My god is the only god" but it's so very often said. The "majority" of Atheists don't say Christians are attacking them. (Of course, they can be nasty, too.) What Atheists tire of is the endless preaching that we're all sinners & going to hell, with the footnote--they love us & will pray for us. That is VERY insulting. I don't make judgments about religious or not religious--but it's very clear that (unreal) Christians truly attack. As well as, how many Atheiists have you seen on here, trying to convert Christains to Atheism? It takes awhile to "discover" the balance on this category. I have a % & you might be surprised.

Laci provided some interesting views--I have dozens & dozens more. One might ask why Christians resent Atheists so much for their total acceptance of responsibility, freedom, joy in the only life we KNOW to be true, make assumptions that we REALLY believe in god, but...
This is pointless. The tragedy is that such hostility has caused so much horror over centuries. It really shouldn't be that difficult to accept one another!

Then you must be new to this site, as a lot of Christians attack atheists routinely on this site.

Or do you mean they aren't "true Christians" -- tell THEM that.

Didn't you know we atheists are in bed with Satan and are responsible for all the bad things that happen?

WHERE have you BEEN?

;-)

I have had Christians attacking me too so I have to be on the side of the atheists on this one. There are some Christians with very bad attitude out there. Not all of them. And also atheists are not making this claims always.

We just need to avoid generalization as much as we can. And what is "real Christian" ?? We all fall short from the glory of God. We all need Him for our Salvation.

Well, I have to agree that Real Christians do not, but how many real Christians are there? Not many. You have not been here long so I guess you haven't seen the attacks here yet.

I find myself agreeing with the first answerer. Seriously, are you new here? Because telling all non-Christians they will go to hell is an attack. We also get lots of people trying to convert us by explaining how the wing could not have evolved without divine intervention or asking why, if we evolved from apes, are there no apes? who get mad when we run intellectual circles around them.

Firstly "always" is a big word. No one thinks Christians are "always" attacking them.

Secondly, of COURSE you don't see it because you are a Christian. Most whites don't see the continuing attack on blacks. Most men don't see the continuing attack on women.

In a matter of speaking, some Christians do attack atheists here. Sure, they're not chasing after them with baseball bats, but it's still a constant verbal assault. [Er - a constant texted assault.]

Although, with that said, some atheists aren't innocent either in that regard.

I haven't seen any REAL Christians attacking either--of course, you are technically attacking, so guess how that defines you?

Some people have not the ability to seperate what they believe, from who they are.

If you have a dissagreement or another opinion on what they believe, some people take it as a personal attack, which it really isn't.

Look closer. Why don't you post another question on here and ask every atheist about how many times they've been visited by jehovahs witnesses?
And maybe ask them how many Christians put down their beliefs everyday on Yahoo Answers.....
Then you'll see....
