Partly genetics and partly the various treatments used on their hair. It works---I tried a few of those once on the suggestion of a friend from India.

hey im indian and its not genetics please dont beleive it. look in india we girls use cocunut oil,castor oil, and almond oil somtimes alma oil. we mostly apply cocunut oil to our hair it makes our hair shiny,thicker,longer stronger and silker. we used henna treatments and fruit of pack which helps our hair to grow. we dont use chemicals, we braid our hair so it wont get tangle. look i even made a black friend of mine use indian hair products and the results is that she has long hair to her butt trust me. well now my hair is damgerd. because of bleaching and perming my hair is damged and its no longer silky and shiny because of a stupid hairdresser i went to. if u want hair tips email me genetics have nuthin to do with silky hair because i seen women who have silky hair using products

I'm not completely sure, but I know that a lot of people don't eat pork or other meats.
Mostly though, I'm pretty sure it's genetics.

Yea I know you are right they do have beautiful hair, but so do asian people... latin people too....
