I need to take the sound out of my video. I am not trying to put the sound into a separate file, I am just trying to take the audio out and make it silent. Now I don't use Windows Movie Maker because I run a Win2K, so is there software out there that will help me?

Have a look here http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

I haven't used it in a while but from memory if you click on "audio" and change the setting to "no audio" it will remove the audio. Then you need to click file>save avi as (or something like that) to save the new movie without the audio.

As I said I haven't used it in a while but seeing there are no other answers, give it a go.
