This is a project to collect the names ans signatures of those Christian clergy who hold that the truths contained in the Bible are not scientific truths, and who support the teaching of evolutionary theory as foundational to biology.

It always amazes me when those who call themselves "clergy" are doing everything except what Jesus commanded his followers to do.

It also amazes me when "clergy," who claim to teach according to the Bible, treat the Bible like a salad bar - picking and choosing and leaving the unwanted or unpopular behind. Christ himself attested to the truthfulness of the creation account.

Jesus accepted the Scriptures – all the scriptures - as the inspired Word of God. He did not profess to teach the Bible but take issue with certain things it says. He did not discount the creation account or believe the record concerning Adam and Eve was a fable. He quoted from the authoritative Genesis account of the matter, saying: “Did you not read that he who created them at the beginning made them male and female and said: ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh’?” Matthew 19:4,5.

He did not suggest that scripture might better be replaced by more up-to-date “scientific” ideas. And neither does anyone who is a true follower of Christ take such a viewpoint.

How then do “clergy” claim to represent the man whose teachings they reject?

I think if they are spending time like us search for facts in the net, they will get a lot of answers about creation before they jump to that conclusion to form a grouping for a project on evolution. I share my manifestation. God was like you and me. Mind you we are created in his likeless and image. We do things or invent things from simple then to complex things. So for example, God would have created simple thing like a living cel firstl. Say the world was already created. But it was also a very crude one without sun and moon. Let alone the rich vegetation you and I see today. So God created dinosaurs and some other creatures who could walk upright occasionally like glorila. Then slowly He created some creatures like Peking Man or cave men. All these could not be meaningful creatures to Him. They were just like God's playthings. So He caused them and the earth to die. Of course He created angels in spirit forms. However, He gave them free will to serve Him. Lucifer rebelled and was cast down to earth. I think that rebellion caused God to destroy the first world of huge creatures and crude form of humans. But God did not destroy Lucifer later called Satan. I could figure out this way. It is God's love for all creation that can commune with Him. So Satan was left alone, perhaps being allowed to reside on this earth we live.

God could not have to be alone because He loves companions. Spiritual beings are not enough. Now God after created the second world you and I live now created two humans. Adam was created from dust God mould into a human figure. But Adam was unique, because God breathed His breath into him. The creation of Eve was even more fantastic. He used a rib from the very person Adam to clone Eve. She was an excellent creature more beautifully made than Adam.

For other things, whatever you can see in the present forms of the beasts, the fowls in the air and the creatures in the sea were created as they are before. Now things we cannot see in our human eyes. See God give free will to all His creation. These are allow to evolve into any thing they wish. Affected by Lucifer's rebellious instinct. some evolved into mosquitoes and other harmful insects etc. some into worthless flowers and plants, some so poisonous etc.

Well it will be a long story. But as I said if this group of people spends a little time in surfing the net, they will change their mind. Creation of God is a fact which you can explain than that humans were evolved from some creepy things and late the cave men. Ridiculous.

Yeah, its a pretty weak bunch. None of them are Christian. They may be priest and or pastors of some liberal denominations, but not born again Christians.
Have you seen the list of scientist who signed their names stating that they do not believe in evolution??

Who would you rather believe in the scientific arena?. A scientist who know what he is talking about, or some preacher 'wanna-be' who not only does not believe what he teaches, but believes in something he doesn't know anything about?
Think about that for a moment!
This is really a -"duh".

I'm not a believer, but I hope maybe it will persuade some of those who are to open their minds. It would be a start.

I don't give one rip about a bunch of people signing a piece of paper. No matter what they all do or don't do, the Bible is the literal and unchanging Word of God.
