He's 8, loves video games and sports. Would it make sense to give him a gift he likes now or something he would appreciate later? Also what kind of gift ideas?

Do you remeber getting stuff like clothes when you were 8? If you were like me, even though they were practical, they weren't fun. Stick with something he likes now - he'll love you forever! (Plus, it'll help make up to him for making him wear a monkey suit all day!)

Give him something he will appreciate now, he's only eight. It was nice of you to be concerned about him though. I think a new video game is kind of expensive for a gift for the ring bearer, how about tickets to a game?

My husband and I gave our ring bearer a gift bag. try getting little hand held games maybe sports games and also some candy (the kind that wont dirty up clothes) we gave our ring bearer the bag with the intention that it would keep him entertained during the reception and rehearsal dinner!

Hmmm...I would say give him something he could use now. If he's only 8...chances are if you get him something he could use later it might get lost.

Although if you are really set on getting him something he can use later...you could always give him a savings bond...that way he can't touch it until he's either 18 or 21. Then get him something small...like a video game (I know they aren't cheap...lol) or a gift certificate...something like that :0)

If i'm the ring bearor than a corvette is good enough, but a government bond towards their education is a great idea and will be a reminder of the marriage for the rest of his or her life, it just keeps paying and paying. or just a watch or a ring
