No, Joseph Smith was a fraud, but I do believe this:
Galatians 1:6-9
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Absolutely not! It is amazing to me that people believe that story. There are so many inconsistencies with the first 15 years or so with what actually happened and when. Most of the current Mormons do not realize how many times this book was rewritten to cover up the problems. I do however think the Mormon people I know are very sincere (however misguided) and very good people. There is a website out there where former Mormons talk about some of the things that they experienced. Very enlightening.
Good point Sirius...it could very well have been Satan in disguise.

The e book of Mormon replaced into translated into English. "Christian" is an English word. the unique might have been greater descriptive. in case you have studied languages, you will understand that there is not any such component as a appropriate translation. there is often some thing lost or changed. additionally, while it shows up interior the Bible is beside the point. There are issues that are interior the recent testomony that are no longer interior the old testomony. that does no longer imply that they do no longer seem to be authentic. Christ did set up his church on peter and the gates of hell did no longer be effective against it. That mentioned, the Bible additionally prophesied that a non everlasting apostasy could come. None of those biblical passages are conflicting with Mormon ideals.

Do you believe the Book of Mormon came into being as Joseph Smith said?
NOPE-not at all.
The peep stone he used to translate the plates (in a HAT!) and the GOLDEN plates all mysteriously went up in to the heavens---- now all the evidence is GONE!

Who knows? Mormons are wonderful folks...but I have a hard time believing in additional reading material presented by an Angel who popped up out of a corn field in upstate New York.
The Mormons do no damage to Christianity...so more power to them.

If he says angel Moroni came to him and gave him the plates then I believe it is according to this scripture:
:
2 Cor 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light

The Book of Mormon has no more truth than the Bible or Koran.
All are works of fiction
