If a dog was walkin down the street and after 5 years, saw its mother would the dogs recognize eachother in any way?

Hmmm... Probably not because it hasn't seen her for 5 years.

They wouldn't recognize each other by sight, no. If they were allowed to get close enough to smell each other, than yes, I would think they would recognize each other's scent. That is the one thing that all animals other than humans can remember, although, some humans are able to do this as well.

I don't think so. If the dog had been raised those five years with its mother, then yeah.
