Yeah I also have eczema on my hands (and feet), Ive been dealing with it most of my life. I don't think there is a way to toally get rid of it, and it can be caused by alot of different things, but alot of times it is caused by an allergy. Mine went away (temporarily) when I stopped drinking milk a couple years ago. Try eliminating different foods from your diet and see what happens. Other common allergy foods are wheat, sugar, corn. I've often thought one of those detox diets might be worth a try.
Recently it came back on my fingertips, but I figured out that it is from baby diapers - I am now wearing gloves when I change my baby and it is starting to get better.
Have you tried steroid creams? They help somewhat in relieving the inflammation, you have to get a prescription from a Dr. I use triamcinilone cream - it is pretty cheap if you don't have insurance -some of the others are expensive. It works just as well.
Eczema definately sucks!!!

Hi - I have eczema and use HC45 (over the counter at any Pharmacist) to keep it under control. To help from the inside, try upping your intake of things like oily fish as this will help. If all else fails, speak to a Pharmacst and theyll be able to recommend some stuff. Hope this has helped! :O) xx

You may try to have 3 cups of lukewarm water on a basin with 1 tea spoon of salt. Soak you fingers or your hands on a basin of prepared water with the ingredients for 5 minutes after breakfast and before going to bed at night. Dry your fingers/hands with a clean towel. You may repeat this procedure until the eczema disappears.

You can't get rid of it completely, it will always be there. I know this sounds wacky, but see a herbalist. The creams the doctor prescribed never did anything for her. But the herbalists cream cleared alot of it, she had it all over her face and hands. Don't drink milk or eat dairy products because that makes the eczema worse. Drink goats milk or Soya milk instead.

I don't think you can get rid of eczema, I think you are born with it. I would go to the dermatologist, she or he will give you a special cream to help it. If you don't have money or insurance, you could buy Gold Bond. I heard that works good.

Check out this site, has lots of good advice about alternatives...there's a really good cream you have to order (see end of page). Please type in eczema in search, it'll give you a list of results, look through for relevant links.
I find it has reliable info.

Definitely see a dermatologist, I know someone who has eczema, and they use elidel, and it seems to help, there is also this steroid tape called cordrantape, it is clear, and you apply it to the areas you need it, but you will need to go to a dermatologist who could prescribe you these things. Good Luck!

Eczema may be an auto immune response. You may have an allergy to gluten. Try eating NO wheat for a month or so. You may find your skin condition resolved.

I had it when I was younger. Go to your doctors and ask for BP cream that you use when you have a bath or shower. It has no added chemicals or smell. It really helps the skin.
By the way... eczema can lead to asthma as I now have asthma. Just so you know.
