There are a few myths out there about things that cause acne. Acne isn't caused by eating greasy foods like french fries or pizza, chomping on chocolate, or drinking sodas. Some people do find that they notice their breakouts get more severe when they eat too much of a certain food, though. If you're one of them, it's worth trying to cut back on that food to see what happens.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

none is truly conclusive about foods that may produce acne. Acne is an infection. more acne is seen on people with super oily skin as the sebum is a good breeding place for bacteria that cause acne, that's why other people believe eating fatty foods might actually aggravate the situation, but studies show, there is really no relationship between food and acne. i advise you however to drink water and fruit juices to keep your cells healthy and moisturized. and yes, the only relationship between acne and food is that, when you are allergic to a certain food, it seems to aggravate the acne because you get swelling and redness and itchiness elsewhere, it is best to avoid theses foods, but if you are not allergic to anything, don't worry. you can eat any, but in moderation. too much of anything is not good. cheers!

I know many dermatologists will disagree with what I have to say, so here it goes;
My answer to your question is YES. Despite what many docs tell you, I am living proof.
If I don't eat junk food and chocolate, I hardly ever break out.
If I eat chocolate and fried foods, I get acne.
Why not try this yourself. Go for a week, eat healthy, drink water instead of sodas, etc. See how your skin reacts.
The week after that, eat junk food, chocolate, soda and see what happens to your skin.
Good luck.

Right, I dont think there is anything specifically, but greasy foods can definitely cause extra oil in your skin. As well as anything with a lot of sugar. One thing I try to focus on is making sure I am not running my hands through my hair and then touching my face. Since your hair becomes so naturally oily, that oil can transfer to your face realy easily especially if your hair is long.

No acne is caused by the staph bacteria. There is no food that causes it. A poor diet though can make it worse as you skin would not be as healthy.

one of the hard things about acne is that there's so many products to try. i've probably tried like 20 different products, until i settled on a product called beautiful skin. it's a whole regimen that, in my opinion, works better than proactiv.

Chocolate, and other sugary candys, etc. They can cause acne, but mostly only if you are allergic. I know two people that has happened to, but it doesn't happen to me.
