when i watch shows on my panosonic plasma screen some of the show is cut off for example i am watching foot ball and the score is cut off. its not just the channel becuase it does this on other chennels with news and advertisments. i know its not the zoom becuase i have reset the zoom before. please help! will choose best answer.

Try to find H-Size or V-size in menu. If you can't find it call the customer services and ask for home service. They'll help you to adjust this.

OK, checking aspect using the TV's remote is the obvious first choice to try.
However, in many cases it is the Set-top that controls aspect.
For example, with Dish there is an aspect button on the DISH remote!! So, if you have an HD set-top check if you can control aspect ratios from its remote.

do you have a screen size button on your remote? or you may go into the setup and change it form 16:9 to 4:3

You have to set the screen settings. e.g. nema, full, widesidebar, wide etc. and see what screen setting fits in your brodcasting video size. any of the above setting fits set that settings.
