French Toast, of course!
I am just saying that because both of my children prefer that (my daughter actually does not like pancakes at all). At least that way, we get some eggs into the kids, too.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and both your choices are excellent ones You have protein and carbohydrates and if you add a glass of milk to the french toast they both have the same nutrients. I think I'd alternate them as I'd get bored with the same everyday though I love both equally! You should also have cereals some mornings! A good way to kick start your metabolism and release energy slowly throughout the morning.

It depends whether you accompany either with something nutritious like some berries. I'd prefer pancakes in terms of taste.
On its own, French toast and pancakes are actually similar in content: Eggs and flour (in the bread and in the batter).

French toast
Here is a great recipe:
Stuffed French Toast
Serve warm with a dollop of orange marmalade on the top and a good cup of coffee. Even though orange marmalade isn't a particularly popular preserve in my area of the country, it really makes this special. You can replace the liqueur with any flavored liquid non-dairy coffee creamer.
1 (1 pound) loaf French bread
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
4 eggs
1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 Tbs butter
1/3 cup orange marmalade
1 Slice the French bread on a slant, giving each side of the slice a nice surface area. Slice the brick of cream cheese into 1/2 inch thick slices. Make a slit in each slice of French bread through the crust to form a pocket. Place a slice of cream cheese in each pocket; set aside.
2 In a small bowl, beat together eggs, Irish cream liqueur, cinnamon and nutmeg.
3 Melt butter in a griddle or frying pan over medium-low heat. Briefly dip the bread slices in the egg mixture
Servings: 4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ready in: 20 minutes

Depends on how you mean 'better'--are you cooking for someone else and are trying to decide which to cook? Or are you asking which is healthier? Or, is this just an opinion poll?
I prefer stuffed french toast with frozen strawberries and cool whip. The recipe is on www.allrecipes.com it is a knockoff of an IHOP recipe.
But as far as healthy, both are bad for you.
