does anyone know how many hours after the first pill can i give the second? I gave him one at 5pm and I don't know when to give him the other one? I usually do 1 in the am and 1 before bed.(about 10pm) Usually 10-13 hours between. Anybody out there who can help me?

It depends on how the vet perscibes it, but my vet says as close to 12 hours apart as possible (if you are told to give it twice a day). This is so the dog doesn't get too low on the amount of phenobarbital in its system and start having seizures. I would call you vet and ask to make sure.

usually two pills are given twelve hours. but your vet should tell you this and you should make note of it again just in case you forget again. my sister's dog gets two pills a day . twelve hour waking time. don't ask me why l do not know. l think if a dog have seizures then it could even have them at night as well as day. so call your vet and make sure.

That is about right. If he takes 2 pills, I would give them about 12 hours apart.

You need to contact your vet for the correct times to administer. Phenobarb is a controlled substance and I don't really think this is the place to be asking something like this

If your dosage is one pill twice a day, you should try to space them as close to twelve hours apart as you can. I wouldn't reccomend anything sooner than six.
