If you have 100 rows and in each row you want to multiply column c by column d to equal column e, is there a way to put a formula in at the top of the page to do this for each row? Or do you have to enter =Xc*Xd in each row for column e (X=row number)?

I don't want to add any rows to each other - I just want c*d=e in each row, individually without having to retype the formula in each row.

Create your formula in the first row. Click Edit, then Copy. Highlight the remaining cells in column E and click Edit, then Paste. Excel will automatically adjust the formula for each row.
