Go for it! It's incredibly cool to watch your dog "turn on" their natural talents.
The only tip I can offer is that you can get a head start by playing scent games with your dog by encouraging them to sniff out treats. You can start with the treats in a very obvious location, and then start leaving them out in the open while your dog is in the other room, then start leaving them in slightly more difficult places while your dog is in the other room. It's neat to watch that moment when your dog stops looking for it visually and starts relying on just their nose because after all, smell is a dog's strongest sense.

Sure, it is lots of fun!!!! Finding a tracking test is a pain in the butt, but the class is great!!
