no jewlery.
no giant mushy cards
handwritten cards are better.
chocolates are ok
phyisical gifts are the best.
(a kiss, or sex or.....well you get the idea)

Depending on your relationship and plans for each other depends on the gift. In other words, if she is only a casual friend, a card and chocolates may do. If you are in a serious relationship, roses and a dinner is the best choice. Embarrasing gifts are things that look cheap and have no personal use.

there is no embarassing things, just pick up one present that s sweet and meaningful, she ll appreciate that, even if rose, u know ur gf , so try to find what she likes most, or try to do ur best satisfying her. when u re together , give it to her , say to her: " i ve something for u, " " wish u accept it" , she ll be curious knowing that. and bring it out , or think for a romantic way that suits both of u. gud luck.
