There are different types of Cruise Lines depending of what you are looking for, your destinations and your budget.
A rough way of dividing them up would be like this...
Budget Cruise Lines - (Carnival, NCL, Royal)
Intermediate - (Princess, Holland America)
Luxury - (Oceania, Cunard, Crystal, Regent, Seabourn)
Adventure - (Windstar, Small (in comparison) super yachts)
If you are looking for the best BUDGET line, then Royal is probably up there. However, an Oceania or Regent ship for example will make Royal look like a city bus.

I agree that Royal is a great line..especially for the price. I went on Mariner of the Seas last fall and it was tremendous. You do hear some people say the food is just alright, but frankly I think people are just stabbing in the dark trying to come up with something that is not great. The ships, staff, activities, lounges, entertainment are all very nice.

Royal Caribbean is fantastic!!! They have the largest and most elaborate ships in the industry (except the QM 2 -- but that is transatlantic only i believe). I have been on two recently and have enjoyed every minute. There is so much to do and they have really great itineraries too. The only qualm of RC is the food. I thought it was good but I have heard people say that the food is better on other curise lines. Hope this helps!!

Royal Carribean is a very good cruise but i heard that princess was even better. I hear that princess cruise has more activities on the actual boat.I have never been on the princess cruise but i did go on the royal carribean and it was nice but it did need more ship activities.

YES Im loyal to the Royal!! They are awesome and so much to do! Went on Enchantment of the Seas recently and the staff was great!! Have Fun
