Feng Shui is ancient Chinese mystical nonsense. It is equivalent to and about as accurate as Astrology. It is not healthy if he really believes that moving furniture realigns energy fields. He may as well believe in God.
Penn&Teller did a good expose of FS of it on BULLSHIT!

Feng shui is simply a way of improving harmony and balance in one's life through the placement of furniture and other items in one's environment. Don't see what harm that could do, although I'm sure it doesn't really do much good, either. Ask five different feng shui practitioners how to rearrange your furniture and paint your walls, and you'll probably get five different answers. Just make sure you don't put the chair where you can stub your toe on it at night. :o)

It's upto u
There has been a tremendous upsurge in the acceptance and consequently, the practice of ancient sciences such as Vaastu Shastra, Feng Shui, astrology and many other alternative healing systems. However, the questions that comes to mind are –
• Are these as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago?
• Do today’s practitioners understand the basic principles of these sciences?
• Is there a method of verifying the effects of these interventions?
These and similar questions are the basis for the work of Holistic-Energy.com , an organisation whose work is “ Nurturing Energetic Bodies, Health Homes and Efficient Offices ”.
Their research has led them to find simple ways of aligning man with environment in today’s world, for holistic health and growth. They have conducted research in the areas of:
• Geo / bio energy in relation to buildings and living environment
• The nature and effect of bio-electro-magnetic radiations, and how to neutralise and harmonise them
• The complexity of the human body in terms of subtle energy fields and how it interacts with the environment, with colours and materials etc.
• The alignment of the energy axis of the human body, and its relationship to mental, vital, physical and psychic energies.
• The effect of colours, planets and zodiac signs on the body and environment, homes and offices.
This holistic approach takes care of all ill-effects of Vaastu defects, uneven energy flows caused by work functions carried out at various places and placement of objects. In this process, the energy levels of built space are enhanced to anywhere between 5-50 times the original levels, claims the organisation.
Individual Health Check and Care: The holistic approach is also applied to individuals, who are evaluated as follows:
• Colour deficiency and arrangement in the body
• Accessories and their effects – whether the jewellery one is wearing, suits the body or not and correcting the same
• Neutralising ill effects of surgery, if any has been done on the body
• Checking and correcting the planetary arrangement in the body system
• Explaining other simple ways by which people can take care of their health by altering their surroundings or working conditions.
