I have a Jack Russell too. Not only does he chew things up but he likes to kill small animals in my back yard too! I can relate. I had to find a bed that had a tough outer lining (got one at Petco). It has a foam pillow inside instead of stuffing but he can't seem to chew through it anyways.

Unfortunately, that's part of the breed - that's what they do. Also, you really shouldn't keep in in the garage. Jack Russell's have fine hair and can get cold easily.

Try just putting towels insead of bedding. If he is a puppy he will grow out of it. (my dog used to do that too but he is now older and doesn't anymore)

Why do you keep him in a cage in the garage? He s probably frustrated from boredom.

dog must be moved into the house.... isolation is very cruel, and jack russell's are not cold hardy.... second,,, lots and lots of exercise for this little guy,,, these dogs are bred to go into holes and get rats,,, he needs an outlet...... digging is what he was bred for... and digging is what he is gonna do.

when my dog would chew on my furniture i would rub chile pepper oil in the areas he liked, and after a couple tastes he didnt want anything to do with that furniture anymore. even if you just took habenero peppers and rubbed them over the fabric while squezing them enough oil would transfer on it to do the trick

Let him sleep on the torn up bedding. He seems to want it that way.
