....and let Jesus deal with the circumstances of those who didn't accept Him for whatever tragic reason?

Yes, I did of course mean that we do need to preach. But just some reject the Lord because they don't like the concept of hell, even though the Lord Jesus expresses His love through offering us salvation from hell. So yes, we ALWAYS do need to preach, but if someone rejects to their last breath, what else can we do?

Jayden,

Eternal hell will be far WORSE THAN ANYTHING you can name in this present world, whether it be disease, starvation, abuse, war, or whatever. Just so you understand that what you're talking about, isn't particularly accurate.

It is the duty of all True Christians to Proselytize--but beyond that------you are correct!

People are bothered by the concept because it is inconsistent that a God of love would torture anyone forever for sins committed during a relatively short lifetime. If a human court sentenced a kid who stole a candy bar to life imprisonment, there would be an outcry of injustice. It is inconsistent with a God of Justice that a petty thief would suffer the same torments as a mass murderer.
The teaching of hellfire dishonors our loving Creator who said that such a thing as burning people never came into his heart
Jeremiah 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”

And what makes you think that hell is not something that everyone deals with every day in their life. Is not something that only happens when you die, If so there will not be all those crimes against humanity around the world. And what about the people that live in poverty and are every day running from war, and have been victims of so much suffering, Do you think they even care about Hell?... Please they are in Hell. I could go on and on about it, but I have to go a catch a plane to my hell.

Only Christians could be bothered by the concept of eternal Hell.

Non-Christians have no reason to fear a God or Hell they don't believe in, just as Christians have no reason to fear that Zeus will throw lightning bolts at them, or that Santa will put coal in their stockings.

I believe that usually it's not that they are so concerned about that person or their soul...they are usually meaning it as a insult towards someone..like a moment ago, there was one about Mel Gibson and you could tell they were not so concerned about the person, but more of to put that person down, or put God or His Church down. If they were so concerned about that persons mistakes that would send them to hell, they would pray for them and certainly not be mentioning it here. PEACE!!!

It is the responsibility of each individual if they come to Jesus or not, however, the Bible also says we are to share the good news with others. A verse in the book of Romans talks about it as if no one has heard how are they going to know the truth. We are to speak the truth in love, or we are not like Jesus. If you choose to not accept Christ for the forgiveness of your sin, you will be held accountable but those of us who know Jesus only want others to know Him too- and when you are passionate about something, do you keep it to yourself?

I'm bothered by the concept because it has no logic. It's difficult to ignore the spread of ignorance.

Probably because it's easier to complain than to actually do something about it.
