It amazes me that people believe that you can be born straight but not gay.

My personal opinion is that some men are born more feminine, and some woman more masculine. We all have hormones, some more then others.I believe we make the choice of what we want sexually,God has an expectation of what we do with our sexuality. We can choose as he gives us our own will. But within us we know if we are grieving God.Even if we do not have a relationship with our creator.I think everyone has had homosexual thoughts or even acts.I do not believe God will send a gay person to hell,I believe in his mercy and grace, and forgiveness. He loves his children,he says what he says about homosexuality, its in the bible.I think society causes many to be labeled gay, even if a person is more feminine or masculine.

people are born gay, and the homophobes of this world tell their followers that they cast them to hell forever. while there are some people that pretend to be gay/bi for attention, most people are actually gay, like the first person said, it's kinda hard to believe that people are born straight but not born gay

I'll tell you what.

Explain to me why my first crush at age 5 was on Bazooka from G.I. Joe, and in 3rd grade I was blowing kisses at one of the other boys in my class (and feeling PROUD of it when he'd call me a gay-wad), despite having been raised in a traditional nuclear Christian family where sex was not a topic, an issue, or a concern, and you might have some evidence that it is a choice.

I also found out after I came out of the closet that I'm not the only gay male in my family, and that if you do a basic genetic family history, that the incidences of homosexuality follow the exact same pattern as a multi-gene linked recessive trait.

Explain all that and I might believe I somehow choose to be gay.

People may be born with a propensity for certain disorders but, they choose to exercise them or not. For sure it is much harder for some to resist certain sins. I do not know if this lessens their responsibility or not though because much of the guilt for sin lies in the will to do the sin. Even if the guilt is less the consequence is still there. If I drive through an intersection without stopping but, not intentionally, and if I get hit I certainly can still be injured or killed.

Homosexuals argue that they did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1– ). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don’t make a conscious decision to "choose" that self-destructive lifestyle, they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13).

...Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, just as adultery and fornication are. Nothing and nobody makes you do it, but after you do, it becomes easier to make that choice again, and it becomes a habit.
...In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 we read:
...9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
...10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
...11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
...Here is the good news. Sin can be forgiven - verse 11 says "such were some of you". In Christ, sins are forgiven, and we are empowered to overcome life-
dominating problems.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)
...And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
(Revelation 22:17)

Anybody who thinks nobody is gay or straight until pugerty should talk to my parents. I had a porn collection when I was 6 years old (this is no lie). They were NOT happy about it when they found it.

No one is born anything. Until some age, typically the onset of puberty, one has no lustful desires for the opposite sex. Anyways, lust homo- or heterosexual is wrong. God commands that we discipline ourselves regarding sexual desires.

1 Thessalonians 4
2For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God

God's desire if we should marry is to remain married to a single person of the opposite sex until death, for then we are one with them.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

we are all born into sin so we have the tendacy to be a lot of things but we choose not to. i think people choose to live the gay lifestyle. it's stated in the bible that God intended it to be man and woman. different circumstances steer us into different directions in life.
