I heard that the Drake Hotel at 440 Park Avenue is going to be torn down, anyone have any details on this?

Also, what will be built on the site? A shame, I thought it was a terrific hotel.

It's not actually being torn down, it's being converted into condos.

The Drake will be torn down and a 70 story building will be put up. They're not sure yet whether it be be all condos or a mixed-use building.
