IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE LOCATION OF THE CUT AND HOW DEEP IT IS. I AM A MECHANIC AND CUT MY HANDS PRACTICALLY EVERY DAY IF ITS A DEEP CUT OR ON ONE OF MY FINGERS IN A JOINT I LWAY USE SUPERGLUE AND I HAVE FOR OVER 20 YEARS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND IT WORKS GREAT NEVER HAD AN INFECTION. ANOUTHER GOOD CHEAP ALTERNATIVE I DUCT TAPE IF YOU CAN SHAVE THE AREA REALLY WELL. IT WILL ONLY WORK IF THE DOG WILL NOT CHEW IT. IT NEEDS TO WEAR OFF AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS. I GOT THE SUPERGLUE IDEA FROM MY GRANDPA WHO WAS A FISHERMAN WHO WOULD NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT IN HIS TACKLE BOX. NOW ALL THE GUYS IN MY SHOP USES IT IT REALLY WORKS WELL. I WOULD TRY IT BEFORE NEEDLE AND THREAD.. THREAD HAS DYE THAT WILL 100% FOR SURE CAUSE INFECTIONS IF YOU DECIDE TO SEW USE CLEAR FISHING LINE. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

NO NO NO It really depends on where the wound is. If it is on the foot you should take it to a vet to stitch up because it will get a lot of dirt etc. in it. the vet may give you a discount or allow you to make partial payments if you ask.
If it's not in the foot then why don't you put some peroxide on it and then put a dab of triple antibiotic ointment on a bandage and apply that and wrap it. Check the wound every other day and apply new bandages as needed.

Some wounds were not meant to be glued/sutured. Some, if seen by a vet, would be left open to drain, or have a drain put in them. So, if this is one of those wounds, doing that might cause an infection. there is skin glue, but ti doesn't work well all the time, and debris can get stuck to the glue and cause an infection. Why not just bandage the cut and change the dressing daily, watching for signs of infection.

When a doctor or vet uses surgical glue (which is sterile)the wound has to be cleaned and antibacterial solutions applied. torbay, is correct some wounds especially puncture wounds need to drain, deep wounds need to not only draining but heal from the inside out. If you are not able or going to take the dog to a vet the best course of action would be to clean the wound thoroughly, apply an antibiotic ointment and wrap snuggly but not too tightly. If the wound continues to bleed (not weep, weeping is expected) it will require stitching.

Super glue would infect the cut and might make it become even more serious. You really need to get him to a vet but if you can't try the needle and thread. This is risky though.

I'm sorry but your dog needs a vet. If the cut is really deep, the super glue would not close the wound. If you tried to sew him up yourself you would probably get it all infected and everything. Please take him to the vet.

Where is the cut? If on the leg, clean it good, get some neosporin or some kind of antibacterial spray, and wrap it good with that vet wrap that sticks to itself. hopefully it will heal. If on the body, clean it good, shave the area, you need to see just how bad and how deep it is. If it is deep, then yes... stitch it if he will let you... if not so deep, try to pull it together somewhat and apply some kind of dressing. Dogs will always want to lick their wounds, so it is going to be tough keeping him from chewing it off. good luck....... keep it clean!!!

No you may not use super glue as emergency stitches. Take it to a vet. They are professionals and are trained to handle these type of stuff.

You need to take him to a vet and get professional treatment. If you don't get them proper care for injuries that is considered neglect and the dog can be taken away.

Oh my God! Are you for real, cut yourself and put some superglue into it, and see for yourself!!! Why can't you just let the dog be, how big is this cut?
