The Galley is the kitchen on an airplane

2007-01-21 11:14:31 · answer #1 · answered by nathanael_beal 4 · 0 1

It is called a "galley." In that sense, a plane is like a boat or ship and has a captain, crew and stewards/stewardesses (although of course "flight attendant is considered correct now). The nautical terminology carries through where applicable, including to the galley.
