The usual definition of Christian is someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ. Catholics and Protestants, Orthodox and Pietist - all these are Christian under this definition. In some countries, however, people frequently make the equation Catholic = Jesus' Catholic followers and Christian = his Protestant followers. I lived in one of those for several years and had several friendly arguments on this point. Everyone insisted on the distinction, including my Catholic friends. It was just the local vocabulary, really. Nobody was trying to put anybody down, and no one's feelings seemed to be hurt, so I just let the matter drop.

From what I know, the Catholics are following man's word rather than GOD's WORD. The Pope makes up so many new ideas every year as their religious leader that he actually is almost a god to his followers. I believe that we should be reading, studying, and obeying GOD's WORD directly from HIS BIBLE. HE instructed it's writing and HE sent HIS SON so thnat we could be saved from the tortures of HeLL. Have a great evening.
