I have handled two and they were both very food motivated, which made it pretty easy to show them!!!!!!! They do tend toward being stubborn, but they seem eager to please and willing to learn.

They are somewhat stubborn, but they are usually fairly food driven which make it a lot easier. But it depends on the dog, I have seen Bostons that have been both ways. The agility is harder to train, and I would recommend that you train for it after conformation training. If you are going to show, just make sure that you purchase from a reputable breeder that has had success in the show ring and that at least one of the parents is a champion. Many breeders will help you train the dog for conformation and some will even show the dog for you if you want them to (they usually do charge a fee though).

Very easy to train. I just got a BT 5 mos ago. She is food motivated. I think she learned to sit in about 10 mins with bites of mashed potatoes. She will do just about anything for bites. I don't know about showing but the a strong for their little size. Oh they have the funniest personalities. After being at work I can't wait to get home and see my Lola. Goodluck.

Boston terriers are no harder to train then the next dog. all it takes is time and Patience. and for show then ask a person that show
dogs. they usually like a dog to be with in a limit of weight and height, that sort of thing

well,, first off ,, if you are planning on showing in the breed ring for conformation - you would be buying a "show potential" pup from your breeder.... and your breeder would have given you all that that entails.. agility , on the other hand , is a fun way to exercise yourself and your dog and have a blast.. your dog may also show in agility after you spay/neuter it.. a dog may not be spayed or neutered for the breed ring.. bear in mind,, if you had a "show dog" your breeder would have let you know this

I don't know about showing, but my Daisy is the best pet I've ever had. She listens very well and was easy to train, although we have never done any show trainng.
