no. bacteria also helps us fight off disease, and break down food that we eat. also, it helps us build immunity to many common diseases. that's why many doctors do not recommend anti-bacterial soap for everyday use.

No, not all bacteria are harmful. There's several types of bacteria that are within/on your body that are beneficial. There's S. epidermis that is found on your skin that help keep the "bad bugs" at bay. There's also enteric bacteria within your digestive system that helps digest food. There's several types of bacteria in your mouth that keep harmful germs from causing infection and assist in digestion. Many of these bacteria are opportunistic pathogens which means they can cause infection if they are given the opportunity such as a break in the skin, but it is not very common.
If you do a search for normal flora that might help you find some of them (I don't have my study materials with me right now to give you an accurate list).
There's also many types of bacteria used in food making. There's a type of bacteria that's used in making beer, and another used in making yogurt that's extremely beneficial in keeping normal flora in good numbers when you're antibiotics.

Nope! There are actually "good bacteria" that live on your skin all the time. The keep the homeostasis of the body in check. However, if you have an open wound on your skin, this is also why you need to keep it clean! If the bacteria get into the wound, they multiply and cause an infection which can become rather nasty!

No. Not all bacteria are pathogenic (i.e. disease-causing). Most are not. Many types of bacteria are helpful to humans, whilst others are neither harmful nor particularly helpful. What is interesting, however, is that even though we all know E. coli to be harmful, we all have strains of that bacteria in our intestines, where they help break down food. However, you don't want to get a foreign strain of E. coli into your digestive tract.

No not at all! Just like when I had my son, the Doctor said that we need to take him out, and around people so that He will get Bacteria, and that his Immune systom can fight it! Belive it or not Bacteria can help your Immine system get stronger! But..... I am not going to go lick the Grocery Carts either! (FACT: Grocery carts are more ditry than Public Restrooms)
So stay clean, but hey lets face it, there are Bacteria and little bugs everywhere that you can not even see! so No Matter what we do, we will never get rid of it!

You have bacterial growth inside and outside of your body which is very healthy. You have stagh living on your skin, and it is taking care of you. The problem comes when the bacteria which lives normally is certain parts of your body gets into areas which it does not belong. Stagh under your skin, e coli in your blood causes major problems.
