Machines (Cylons) that worship God and want to destroy humanity. The Cylons remind me of fundies.

No, it's much more complicated than that. They are EXPLORING religion. I think it's cool that the machines are 'christians'. And I see a lot of possibilities for the storyline. I'd LOVE to see, when they finally get to earth, that it's like, the time of Moses or Abraham. They Cylons start the cult of monotheism on earth, meanwhile, Galactica can hardly stop here, so they'll have to move on, looking for yet another new home. And who knows? since spacetime is malleable, maybe they can come back in the far future, and end up in the Star Trek Universe!

Yes, it is. Don't forget the humans on the show have a wacky religion too. I agree the cylons are certainly a transparent symbol of fundies.
