I already have a cage for a cockatiel. I know I can just go to a pet store or a breeder and get one but I would rather take one from someone who can no longer care for their bird.
I will put an e-mail address up for contact information if anyone responds with a bird.

Check in your local newspaper and search online to see if there are any rescues.
Also check the local shelter, or on Petfinder.

Good for you, for wanting to give a bird a second chance! The links posted above are good, I would try those first- but I have some links that might have cockatiels posted up.
There is something called Uncle Henry's you could try- make sure you change the search location- I think the default is for the Maine area.
Maybe Freecycle...Good luck!
