God says in the Old Testament that he will curse all who curse the Jews. Does this mean that Mel Gibson will end up in eternal torment? Or will he continue to own Malibu for all eternity? The first part of this question was serious, and I am specifically interested in replies from religious Jews, Christians, and Muslims (although of course anyone may reply).

No one has the right to judge a man like that. NO one, but God.

Mel Gibson has been my personal hero for as long as i can remember. This does not mean that I think everything he does is right, or justified, but I do have strong beliefs on the subject. Mel is a devout Christian of course, and extreemly religious. After he made The Passion, which was strictly based on the bible, he recieved hundreds of insulting letters and death threats from the Jewish community. No, this does not excuse what happened, I am not saying that, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this, but all I am saying is that probobly put a little fire in Mel, as it would most people, including myself. Mel has struggled with alcohol his whole life, and he slipped that day, and said some things he didn't mean.

Every man makes mistakes.
And I believe, that God will forgive those who are truly sorry for their sins.

Mel apologized so many times, and has publically expressed his shame for his behavior. He was man enough to come out and say, I acted like an idiot, and I am willing to do whatever I can to repent for these actions.

Mel Gibson is a devoted christian husband and father, which is hard to find in holywood these days. He has sinned, as has every human on Earth. He has apologized, met with Jewish leaders, and is truly sorry. Everyone deserves a second chance, or just, forgiveness! And people have done such worse things in the world, I think everyone should stop making such a big deal out of one man's slip.

Mel Gibson has a virtuous and pure soul, and like every human, has a few not so popular problems and has made mistakes.

I can't believe that would be even thought about. If Mel Gibson goes to hell, we're all going to hell. So I sudgest you change your thinking.

The Old testament also says you should give up your daughters to be raped, in order to save your sons from being raped. Do you believe everyone who doesnt give up their daughters in this way is going to hell? If they are, then hell must be heaven. And I know it isn't, so the answer, is no.

I deeply appreciate everyones time and patience. Thank you!

I love Mel Gibson.

Of course not. Mel Gibson is an ignorant raciest but he only thinks like thousands of Christians do. And he is a brilliant movie maker an a damn good actor. Very few people even remember his raciest remarks into the new year. He will just continue to get richer. Oh I'm getting of track. Nobody is going to Hell nobody. BB Boop Oop A Doop!

He is like the rest of us, and like you as well...If we ask for forgiveness for our transgressions with a sincere heart to repent for those actions, and we have faith, then we are forgiven. That goes for you and I. Let me challenge you...it's not your business about whether Mel Gibson will go to heaven or hell. It's your concern to work out your own salvation. As for the prosperity of Mel Gibson...he must be doing something right to be blessed as he is even though he makes mistakes. But you also make mistakes, and so do I. PEACE!!!

I think that people spend way too much time asking "who is going to hell" and not enough time asking who is going to heaven. I do not always agree with him but a few weeks ago Pastor Joel Olsten said something very interesting in a TV interview "I cannot tell you who is going to hell, that is for God to decide. I can tell you who is going to heaven, those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior" .

Stop worrying about who is in Hell. It is none of my business or yours, it could be filled to the brim it could be empty except for Satan and his minions, it does not matter, Worry instead about if you are going to heaven.

And maybe just maybe when you get there you can have a beer with Mel

Why would an all-loving being send someone to an eternity of torment for racist comments?

Plus, you are assuming he's picked the right religion in the first place. I for one am putting my money on Thor.

Heaven and Hell are States of consciousness. So I would have to say based on his behavior that yes Mel Gibson is in Hell even if he's in Malibu.

Considering he is generally good, except when he insults others during a drunken stupour (which is not uncommon for many people), heaven most likely awaits him. Besides, hell is actually just an absence of God, so even if he did go to hell there wouldn't be torture etc, there would just be emptiness...

He already lives in his own personal hell which is why he is hateful towards an entire group of people.
Hell after life does not exist.
