My 4 month old kitty has a very dry nose. It appears to be cracked down the middle, it doesnt bleed, but it's not good. Is there something I could give her that isnt medication? Something around the house or something? She's just pitiful..

Sounds like she needs to drink more fluids. You can try a mild balm for her nose, but she'll probably lick it off.

Hi there...if your cat always has a dry cracked nose this could be due to allergies to foods, genetics, etc. A veterinarian should evaluate this to rule out any medical complications as it could be a warning for other hidden feline illnesses. In the meantime to safely moisten the nose you can use a Vitamin E capsules to soften the nose and it will not harm the cat to lick this--your vet will be able to confirm this, but please NOTE this doesn't cure anything if there is truly a hidden medical illness which the dry nose symptom can be outlying telltale sign.

First of all a cats nose should be dry. A wet nose in a cat is not a sign of being healthy like it is in a dog. Second, a cats nose has a line down the centre which makes the nose appear to be divided. Are you sure this isn't what you are mistaking for a "crack". Go online and take a look at close up pictures of cats noses and you will see what I mean.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing! Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

A vet could provide an ointment safe for kittens. Otherwise, some type of bacitracin or neosporin should not hurt, just only put a little bit on, because whatever doesnt' soak in will be licked off.
