I'm assuming that you're doing either a beef or pork roast, and if you are using your crock pot, I use: (works for either beef or pork)
1 can undiluted French Onion Soup
1 can undiluted Campbells Golden Mushroom Soup
Place carrots, onion, and potatoes in the bottom of your crock pot; place the roast on top of the veggies; mix soups in a medium bowl, till combined and pour over the roase, then sprinkle with grill seasoning (available in the spice section) cover and cook for 5-7 hours on high (or 8 to 10 hours on low) DON'T LIFT THE COVER, AS EVERY TIME YOU DO, IT ADDS ANOTHER 30 MINUTES OF COOKING......Try this with a tough cut of meat, like a boneless chuck roast.......Enjoy, and people will think that you're a culinary genius.......

Wow, the possibilities here really are endless, but here goes. I start by coating a dry roast with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper. I sear the entire roast in a large pan (I prefer olive oil, but you can use any oil you like). Once seared, I move the roast to the crock pot and deglaze the pan with a good hearty red wine. I pour this over the roast and finish filling the pot with beef stock. I chunk in some onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, garlic, and a bay leaf, and I forget about it until about 6 hours later when the smell has permeated the whole house and the neighbors want to know what's for dinner.

I found this recipe in a crockpot cookbook its called the "Best potroast ever"
1 pk of dry ranch (salad dressing) 8oz
1pk of dry italian (salad dressing) 8 oz
1 pk of Mccormick Brown Gravy mix 8oz
3c water or enough to cover the roast put crock pot on low setting . ( 6 to 8hrs)
Add potatoes, and carrots last five mins.
Note : if you know how to make a rouge, this is to make gravy alittle thicker.
rouge; use three tablespoons of flour wheat, or all purpose cover flour with water and stir until all lumps are out. Slowly pour mixture into gravy, be careful not to pour fast causing lumps, after pouring mixture let cook another five to six minutes.

If I'm in a hurry to leave for work, I'll usually just throw in a packet of the dried Lipton Onion Soup and Dip Mix.
Otherwise, I use a little chopped onion, chopped mushrooms, a shake of garlic powder, a touch of black pepper, a splash of Worcestershire Sauce, maybe some A-1. Not a lot of anything.

If I'm in a hurry, I just use:
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 1/4 cups water
chopped garlic
Salt & pepper
Just mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 8 to 9 hours.

I just made a great pork roast yesterday with: one envelope of Italian
dressing seasoning, one envelope of ranch, one envelope of brown gravy mix, one-half cup of minced dried onions and 2 beef bullion
cubes dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water. Just place your roast in the crock pot and pour everything over it. Cook on low for about 8 hours.

It depends on if it's a pork roast or a beef roast..
For a beef roast I make gravy with worcestershire sauce in it..put either canned or fresh mushrooms in it..Everyone seems to really enjoy it..
For pork..I take a knife and make small slits in it..All over the meat..Stuff garlic cloves and bay leaves into the slits..Also very good..

i put a little water with some beef bouillon cubes at the bottom, I put a bay leaf or two in, a cut up onion, some cut up garlic, some pepper on top, some Worcestershire, and carrots in there too(whatever other veggies you want.) The veggies, and onion, and garlic will help season it. You can sprinkle seasoning on it but they say whole things work better than sprinkling stuff on top. simplicity works best I think.
