My friend is a Samoyed show breeder. I find her Samis learn quickly, are usually happy instead of grumpy, will play as much as they can with both each other and anyone who will join in. They can bounce on their toes (as many herding breeds can do, they are quick and agile) and stay active well into their teens. Drawbacks: they are really noisy (again, common with herding breeds) and you need to be faithful with the weekly combing or you'll have a matted dog.
