It is a slow process caused by the steady pressure of the braces. You will not notice any major changes in any short period of time.
The process takes such a long time that you will stop thinking about checking for changes. Then one day you will notice the changes and be very happy.
The only way my daughter could see the changes in her teeth was during her visits to the Dentist. He would take pictures and show her the changes.

After 2 weeks teeth starts to move. HOwever, dont get too excited because your teeth will start to hurt and sometimes its hard to eat. You'll have to brave it out for 6 months as your dentist will tighten the braces every month. This is a long process as after braces you'll be required to wear a retainer so your teeth dont go back to before.

They move steadily, but slowly. I've had braces for about 18 months now (get em off Feb. woo hoo!) If you keep staring at them you won't see a difference. You need to wait a couple weeks. It's like growing (height) you don't realize you've grown at all until 6 months pass and you and you can suddenly see the top of the cabinents!
Don't dwell... just trust that they will move, cause they do.
For a straight up answer though: a couple months
-take a pic of your mouth once a month, it is CRAZY!
Good Luck! (((it's worth it all!)))

To be perfectly honest with you, they started moving when you had your spacers on. Remember how sore your teeth were, that was the movement. Now as far as seeing things change, you won't notice it as quick as someone who doesn't see you all the time, you look in the mirror every day! But over the next 2 or 3 months, you'll see the changes slowly taking place, and looking better every day. You'll get more comfortable with your smile due to the movement. It's not going to be one of those, WOW when did that happen things, not right off the bat anyway. But you will find a day when you glance in the mirror passing by and have to step back for a second look. It won't be too far off from now, trust me. Remember to take care of them, keep them clean by brushing and flossing, keep your appointments and be on time, wear any elastics used in your treatment! You'll be done before you know it and have a fantastic smile to prove it! Congrats and good luck!

Usually a couple of months. It is very slight but as you go on, you may not even notice a change, until one day it is there. Aren't braces fun? Oh my mouth was so sore from the wires, especially when I slept. Good luck and don't check your teeth every day. Check every couple of weeks. Good luck!

Well, you can never tell. It's like watching grass grow. Really, it's different for everybody. It depends how severe the problem of your teeth are. But your orthodontist will most likely see changes by the time you see them next, probably in about 6 weeks. Ask them the next time you go.

They started to move after the first adjustment. I began to see results after about a month.
