The weekend before my birthday, my family wanted to go out for the day to celebrate my birthday together. I have NO idea how to spend the day with them! I dont want a party. I was thinking we could just go to a restaraunt or something. I live in NYC, anyone know any good restaraunts in the area or any family-oriented events around Janaury 27th??? THANKS!

GO TO A CLUB, TAKE A SMOKE, OR RENT SOME PORN!!! YOU'RE 18 YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. BUT I WOULD GO TO A FANCY RESTAURANT OR THE MOVIES.

OK, Your 18 so, I'm assuming you're on a budget.

Things to do in NYC:
OK, Right in Times Square is a place called TKTs they sell same day theatere discounts seats....like 30-60% off. You can see a show for about $30 a person.

Next, dinner. Resteraunts in Manhatten are outrageous! Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for OK food, take a taxi into Little Italy. The food there is amazing and so cheap! Any resteraunt there is great!

Go here: http://www.gocitykids.com/calendar/?area=197&month=1&day=27&x=11&y=0

Some of the events are a bit too young for you, but some are totally cool... like Stomp, The Butterfly Conservatory, Disney on Ice, National Comedy Theatre, Blue Man Group, Fame Becomes Me, Lion King (it's spectacular! Trust me!), Tarzan, Spamalot, (you'll never get tickets to Wicked...), Hairspray, Phantom, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, and Madame Toussaud's Wax Attacks Scavenger Hunt.

If all else fails, get them to take you to Hard Rock Cafe: http://www.hardrock.com/locations/cafes3/cafes.aspx?LocationID=99&MenuID=15&MIBEnumID=3 or Mars 2112: http://www.mars2112.com/

Best to you and Happy Birthday!

Have you ever been ice skating at Rockefeller Center? They also have a restaurant, Rock Center Cafe that overlooks the ice rink. I have been there for a family birthday and then on to ice skating and it was a blast. Have a happy 18th birthday!
