Take is slow. Keep it light and take her out to lunch and ease into it. Avoid the love word at first. It may be too much at once and freak her out a little bit. Start with saying that your feelings for her has grown into something more. Save the love word for later. You've known this girl for 2 years and thats great because you both have gotten to know each other very well . Most functional relationships start out as friends and blossom into something special and lasting.

I think you should go for it. Who knows? She may feel the same, but afraid to acknowledge her feelings. Some girls are afraid that once a relationship changes from friendship to more, that things will change for the worse, thus they leave things the way they are.

If you don't tell her how you feel, you may regret it for the rest of your life and you only live once. Regret the things you do, not what you don't.

I hope this helps and that things work out for the best.

Deep inside, you probably already know where she stands. If you have been friends with her for 2 years and she has not given you an indication that she's interested in more than friendship, you have a couple of choices. The first is to risk losing her as a friend by telling her you have deeper feelings. The second is to continue with your friendship and wait until you get some indication that she's interested in you romantically before saying anything about your feelings. If you must reveal your feelings, keep in mind you probably will lose this girl as a close friend. Most girls would have let you know by now that they are interested in more than friendship. Ask yourself how much you value her friendship before moving forward.

I was in this situation not too long ago. I took her to dinner and told her how I felt. She did not feel the same way, but I felt a lot better getting it out and taking the chance. It was akward for a little bit, but we're closer now than we were before. Go for it, no guts, no glory.

Ask her out for a meal and tell her that your feelings for her are stronger than friendship. Girls are pretty smart - she probably knows already. Its a good sign that she is still around. I think things will work out

I told my best friend guy that I was falling in love with him, and we ended up getting married. 15 years ago! Just be easy and try not to freak her out.

I had this very dilemma recently myself; I did it, I just came out with it, and I gave her a gift that I knew she would like, and no matter how it turns out, there will always be a warm feeling between us. I wish you luck in your situation.
