I need to copy that data to the disk so i can recover my hard-drive

you need a DVD burner program
If you use the free one given to you by Microsoif, the DVD can only be read by the same PC you use when burning
If you use NERO or other commercial software, you can read this DVD anywhere

You should be able to drag and drop or you can use any of DVD-burning software which should enable you to write data to a DVD-RW. You should visit download.com and try searching there. They have many different softwares.

You need Nero or Roxio or Sonic, etc. Follow the online instructions.

i could say that Nero Is the superb utility for burning. as long as you dont deploy there InCD crap. different then which you dont could format the disk to burn to it. Normaly the disk would be formated if mandatory earlier it extremely is write to.
