Write him letters, include pictures. You can't believe how much guys in basic like to get letters, especially from pretty girls.

If you can't handle him missing your senior prom then you can't handle being a military wife. Sorry to be blunt. Basic and AIT are just the beginning of missed birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, births... etc.

To actually answer your question.. Why don't you focus on school? That would seem to be the logical answer. Get a job, hang out with friends, write him letters.

write letters and dont count on him getting leave in between basic and ait most dont they are shipped straight there from basic.

write lots of letters once you get an address from him. and dont be surprised if it takes a month or longer to hear back. they dont get much free time. focus on school. get good grades and prepare for college. and get to know his parents really well as you dont matter at all to the army his parents will as they are his next of kin. until your his wife you dont matter.to the military at least good luck this will be a good test for you to see if you really are ready to be married and committed this will be a good test of how well you can handle deployments and other seperations. as they happen alot in the military

girl,

Think it through if you are already frustrated now. If you marry to a serviceman, you have to be prepared for this type of separation all the time, for some people, it can be a life-and-death separation.

It's okay to follow the heart, but you also need to use your mind as well. I am not saying you should leave him, but you really have to make sure you can do this for as long as he has to be.

Studying would be good, community service, preparing yourself for after graduation, enjoying your senior year. There are a million things you can go to use your time wisely. You BF will be very very busy, so the less of a burden you are on him the better off you both will be.

Sorry about your predicament.

Write tons of letters, both E-mail and paper letters; enroll in college to keep yourself occupied so you don't have to dwell on the fact that your love is not with you . . .

He is going to cheat on you in the long run anyways because all Military guys do when they are away from home - So be done with it and find another BF - Your in highschool anyways so any chance of marriage with him is going to fail anyways because your too young and stupid!!!
