I wouldn't have to wait to be "ordered"...I'd already have jumped in to help the cop. I have many cop friends....

Of course I would help!

It's also good to see that so many people - cops or not - feel the same way. It is always nice to see that the world is still full of good people. Seeing as how I've been a cop for the last 11 years I would expect that a few people would have the "OF COURSE I WOULDN'T HELP" and "THE COP PROBABLY HAD IT COMING" attitude. Of course, those are the people that all OF you good folks in the world would be helping me mop up the floor with :)

Almost 29. People where I am from in America solve disputes with guns and not fists.. I try to stay out of trouble but if I got my @ss beat I'd admit it and not try to spin the story. when I was growing up in Russia, I used to get into a lot fights until my family became high ranking Communists and than people moved for me wherever I went. I would purposely bump into people I didn't like and they'd always be the ones to apologize.

If you saw a person getting his head kicked in,the person might say :"Help me, please".A cop is not going to order anyone around if he's down on the ground getting his head kicked in.You don't know what your're going to do until the situation arises. Can you help the situation or will you make it worse? No one can predict what an individual's instinctive reaction will be in a crisis. That is why people in basic training are put into artificially-created crises,to find which people respond well and which respond poorly.

#1 The Officer would not have to ask for help, for me to assist.
#2 In some places, you can be charged with failing to comply if you fail to obey the Officer.
#3 You don't have respect for the law if you don't help. But you will be the first to call if YOU NEED HELP.

I wouldn't be in the bar. That said, if I saw ANYONE getting his head kicked in, I would intervene.

Note: anyone getting their head kicked in is not giving orders to anyone.

First of all I would never be in this situation for I do not go to bars and second I don't get ordered to do anything when I am out.

I would help by calling police to help him or I would pull my gun and wipe them all out due to the noise bothering me !!

He wouldn't have to order me to...I'd be all over the other guy like a cheap suit!

And I don't recall seeing any "rules" in "the biker world" that say a biker can't help out the police...oh, and by the way, I'm a biker, too. Guess I'm gonna hafta sell my Harley now, huh?

In a pig's eye.

OK, the first thing is I don't take orders from anyone since I left the military 20 years ago. My actions would depend on who started the fight. If the cop started the fight and was getting his a** kicked, then he's getting what he deserved. If the cop wasn't at fault, then I would do what I could do to assist. But I would do that for anyone, regardless of whether it's a cop or not.

I would be in the middle of the fight helping the law enforcement offical out. Young pukes need to be taught discpline and to respect the police.
