The grass is always greener expression simply addresses a side of human nature of always wanting more or to be somewhere else. I am here but I want to be there type thing. It doesn't really have anything to do with actual travel.

People often feel that another place, circumstance, job would be better than the one with which they are basically saddled. It's all relative, however. Mostly, I think, the grass is greener on the other side because there's so much cr*#*!p there! Better the devil you know!

Whatever we have in life human nature is to require more. This saying is related for example we may have all the creature comforts and believe over the fence there is something more better. Or someone could offer u more than u already have.

It's ok. Some people just want to razz you! Try not to give more attention to something than it requires. There are so many silly things in this category: platitudes. You could worry all night over them.... the darker the night, the brighter the stars.... colder than Greenland's icy mountains... two shakes of a lamb's tail ....
... and: don't let it fret ya' none!

the grass isn't ALWAYS greener on the other side... what you want may not be the best things. as humans, we always want more than what we have.
