I did my house in the same way, and most of it is old ropes, picture frames homemade from old barn wood, and barbed wire. You can do just about anything with these 3 items. Three or four ropes hung at different heights is an easy way to decorate. Also, you can use posters of John Wayne which are easy to find. I painted my living room a tan color with white trim which gives it a country look. I also have several throw blankets with horses on them that I draped over the couch and chairs. As for furniture, anything handmade gives it a country look. It's easy to make a coffee table with plywood and 2x4's and a can of stain. It looks rustic and is really cheap and easy to make.

I love Country Living magazine. You can buy it in the stores. I don't know if they have a website, but they have affordable ideas. Lots of great ideas!!!! Also try out www.hgtv.com.
If you send me some of the details of the room, I will give you some ideas. Please don't go with hunter green; very 80's....

where are we starting here....you can put up some barnboards on one or two walls, use deep colors, like hunter green, chocolate browns, burgendy, decorate with birch limbs, like for curtain rods for tab top curtains, check out a few sites for adirondack furniture, ebay always has some good adirondack lamps, mirrors etc..
good luck..
