I have tried to get clarification on this issue, and all I keep getting is the run around, so I'm really hoping that someone here can help. I am a Canadian, and I will be crossing into the US at a land crossing, which doesn't yet require a passport until next year. Then I am flying domestically between two US cities, and wanted to make sure that all I'll need for I.D. is a Driver's License. I just want to make sure I'm understanding things.
Thanks for your help!

Thank you all for confirming what I thought I knew. Too bad I couldn't get such a simple answer from the airline.

No you just need a passport to fly to the US once you are there you can fly anywhere you want inside the US.

You need an ID of some sort to board the plane in the U.S. There is no Customs within the US. The only question is will they accept a Canadian Drivers License as ID. You could use your passport for sure as an ID, but it is probably not required.

You do not need a passport to travel on any US domestic flights.
