He didn't quickly bounce back with some co-workers, he's on the rebound. Those things don't last. If you're interested in a few dates and then getting dumped then it wouldn't hurt to be interested in him. If you want something lasting, you need to wait for quite a while.

First I'd say...take it easy. If he's just out of a serious relationship he may not be as eager as you to jump into something.

That said, give the two of you a chance to get together socially. Set up an afterwork event with a few other co-wokers and invite him along.

It is not a good idea to get involved with someone at work. If it goes bad, it will very awkward to keep working there. Most bosses frown on office romances.

You could ask him if he wants to have a drink or a cup of coffee after work. But it's not wise.

Never start a relationship with a co-worker. Remain work mates instead.

Just walk up to him and start up a conversation.
Always smile and avoid saying things that start out with, "I don't like......". It makes people feel more comfortable around you if you stick with saying things such as, "I like.....".

Always smell good and act very interested in everything he says.

Compliment him a few times and you'll be on your way.
