Hi ya,
My friend is getting married in september and im chief bridesmaid so my duty is to organise the hen night. Im a bit stuck for ideas, she is a strict Christian so strippers and booze are out of the question. She is not really interested in pubs or clubs, i was thinking maybe a pamparing night, like getting a mobile beautician in or doing a 'bridal shower'. What do you think?

We live in luton so any one local with knowledge of the area for good hotels where maybe 20 of us could all atay or make use of facilites ie health club would be good.

Thanks in advance

Well, it's hard to say since I don't know the likes and dislikes of the bride. Is there something that she is interested in? Here's a few ideas: Have a chef come to your house and have a private lesson. Everyone could learn a few tips from the chef, and then enjoy a good meal. Here in the states we have "paint your own pottery" places. Everyone could paint a piece of pottery to commemorate the evening or the wedding. Not a whole set of dishes, but maybe a set of ice cream bowls? I also think your idea of an evening of pampering would be fun. Throw in some chocolate and it sounds great :)

What country is Luton in? Here in the U.S. we call it Maid of Honor....and you guys call it chief bridesmaid...fun how things are said differently.
Anyway, I think your ideas are great. Won't she have bridal showers in addition to the hen party? I think massages, manicures, pedicures, trying different hair styles and makeup is great fun. If that is too expensive along with staying in a hotel, maybe you could have it in someone's home. A bridal scavenger hunt would also be fun.

Why not go out for a day to a amusement park ( riding funny bikes, going on waterslides ...) You can have a lot of fun and you can dress up the bride to be in a fancy dress and give her some tasks to do during the day ( find 3 man with the same name as the groom to be ... etc.
Ive done this with my sisters wedding and we had louds of fun

I vote for a day of beauty...a day spa or something along those lines. Follow that up with a nice dinner out.

Night down in London, show, meal, hotel with pool and spa. Just don't do it the night before, incase you can't get back home ;-)

You could arrange a day out in a day spa, or go to the races.
