To be honest, I've flown on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft, and both have some pretty awesome planes. To the person who prefers Boeing because they don't trust computerized systems or cockpits...the 747-400 and all Boeing planes introduced since then have computerized systems TO CUT DOWN ON FLIGHT CREW WORKLOADS, which enables the pilot and co-pilot to focus on flying and safety. And almost every jetliner built nowadays uses composite materials to increase fuel efficiency.
I have flown on Boeing 737's, and Airbus's A300 and A319..both really nice...I'm looking forward to the A380 going into passenger service...and for the 787's and 747-8's rollouts.

And to the person who hates Airbus, and used the F-word...Airbus jets are built from products made in several other countries(Including here in the US), the final assembly plant is in Toulouse. Just like Boeing jets have parts from all over the world, and the final assembly plant, at least for the 747-400's and 777, is in Everett, Washington.

And don't forget, other companies build jetliners.

this question lower back? This, as has been pronounced, might desire to be argued approximately invariably, and a number of the factors of argument are very subjective. Airbus is definitely held to be extra prestigious in many areas of the international: many Asian family airlines actually state this! Boeings are extra probable to be seen as the two how you will get the interest carried out (which they do), or livestock autos (a particularly hassle-loose euphemism reserved for the 747) Your declare to Boeing being extra matured is specious: the businesses that formed Airbus have been plane developers themselves. Douglas pioneered airline traveling, no longer Boeing, with the DC-3: in all danger the 1st "international" plane in that it grow to be geared up in large nubers and served notably plenty everywhere- and nevertheless does. particular the Boeing airplane got here out first, however the DC-3 grow to be a workhorse. The B-17, P-38 and different warbirds are beside the point previous nostalgia. The British might desire to as actually declare that the Avro Lancaster grow to be extra renowned, as though this is a suitable way of judging an plane builder. protection? in case you think of for one 2nd that the two employer slacks off right here, you would be very incorrect. Like autos, older plane are extra generally a manufactured from their use and high quality of upkeep somewhat than the rest. consequently, there are far extra dodgy Boeings contained in the air. convenience? this is extra a function of the airline and that's chosen cabin outfit. Flying a hundred situations a 300 and sixty 5 days and extra, i pick by way of airlines, no longer the plane form. Boeing is likewise broke. Airbus is likewise suffering. neither is financially sound extremely. Boeing lives off subsidies from the U. S. protection rigidity (ok, they are no longer formally called subsidies, yet that's what they effectively are). Airbus additionally gets subsidies, and so what?

Well both are very successful commercial flyers, generally Boeing are good for medium haul and less fuel efficient whilst Airbus is great for long haul. Airbus is generally more fuel efficient than Boeing. I also like the Airbus shape for aircrafts, so until the Boeing 787 dreamliner is a feature in our skies, I stand with Airbus.

well i cant say which one is better when it comes to performance, because they are both excellent aircrafts. I have frown in both and they feel the same, however, when it comes to looks i think that the Boeing 747 is the most beautiful airliner ever built. airbus is building an aircraft, the A380, which is twice the size of the 747, but it is still my favorite.

Not really a question you can answer to please everyone.
Although this is one way to look at it.

Airbus is a Goverment Supported Consortium.
.
Boing is a Corparation. That is for the most part is NOT Goverment supported. Boeing's been around for ALOT longer. They are spread out into a variety of area's where as Airbus is in only one. Generally comparing any US Aircraft compay to a European one is like apples and pears. The European one generally recived a MASSIVE amount of goverment support. Dessault, and Rolls Royce come to mind, both would have gone out of bussines if not for their respective goverment bailing them out.
Meanwhile in the US, Grumman, Bell, Cessna, and Hughes all went under and were bought up by other companies.

Who would you choose, hard working americans working for a American company to produce not only the planes in which we fly in but build aircraft that excels in defending the good ole' USA or choose a company that is funded by their gov't that make an ok product and have to practically give it for free( for 5 years before they start paying) to american based airlines just so they can get into the market. Sounds like the French are at it again. Boeing is the way to go

Boeing.
The Brits sold off (or are in the process of it) their share of Airbus. This means it will be majority French. This means that there will be no convincing the aircraft to fly anywhere near a warzone, so not good for troop transporting. In the event of someone pulling a gun on the aircraft, or even waving one in its general vicinity, it will immediately surrender. It will refuse to bathe on anything less than a weekly basis, and she will never shave her pits. It will be utterly convinced of its cultural superiority and refuse to play well with other aircraft. Its nose will perpetually be stuck up, leading to increased drag and resultant loss of fuel economy, making it a poor choice in todays environment.

Boeing. Not that I think Airbus is a BAD aircraft, just because they happen to crash alot, y'know, I'd ride in one, like if you PAID me enough, they're fine, in a "House of Terror" sort of way. If my worst enemy was going on a trip, hey, I'd recommend an Airbus to TRY to get him there.
