Listen to these answers. Unless he needs it in a day or two, you can always get a better price online. I'd check eBay first, then other online sources. I paid top dollar for one, from my instructor, way back in 1966, when I couldn't go online if I'd wanted to! And at that time, I didn't know where else to go. The ones the instructor got, and made himself a nice profit on, were off-white -probably factory seconds. today, you can pretty much choose whatever you'd like. The only thing you don't have a choice in is the belt color. Sure, you can buy any color you want online, but he can only wear his level's color to classes. The GI itself is usually not regulated as to color. But you might want to make sure of that with the school first, just to be safe.

i dont know about seppoland but in aust. we have second hand clothes stores usually ran by church org's.st vincents,salvos.etc.they are usually a very good source of gi's and you find a lot of them are barely used,in fact i've picked up brand new ones in them.they usually ranged from$3-$16 which is cheap, the average second hand gi here is $50.new ones60-120.i'm sure i've seen somewhere that seppolia has simular stores?
PS.this is especially good for kids they grow out of things quick and change thier mind quick to.
