Hi True,

Contact lenses, whilst being great inventions, are a bit of a pain in the eye, sometimes.

I've worn mine backwards accidentally before and it's generally a bit painful. Not sure what the white bump is you describe without seeing it, but if it only came up today I wouldn't worry too much.

Eyes tend to heal well but can take longer than other body parts (e.g. skin) as they are not as well vascularised (otherwise they would not be white/clear).

Just wear your glasses for the next few days. The spot will almost certainly go and the inflammation will settle. If not, consult your doctor in case the area is infected.

I've done this before and as the other person said, it's probably nothing too serious. Wear your glasses for a little while to give your eye time to heal. Monitor the healing progress and make sure that it doesn't get bigger, more sensitive, etc. If the eye is dry, try to keep some rewetting drops in there. If it gets worse, go see your eye doctor. You wouldn't want to get an infection.
Hope you feel better!
